Khaled Z. M. Tamizi received the B.Sc. degree in mechatronics engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University, Hebron, Palestine, in 2003, the M.Sc. degree in renewable energy and energy efficiency from the University of Kassel, Kassel, Germany, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and control systems from Université Paris-Saclay, Gif-sur-Yvette, France, in 2018.

He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Palestine Polytechnic University, Hebron, Palestine. He is the author of the book Energy saving of HVAC Systems by Using Model Predictive Control (MPC) (LAP Lambert Academic Publishing, 2018). His research interests include Model Predictive Control (MPC), power electronics, multicellular power converters, microgrid control, variable stiffness actuators, smart building automation, and HVAC energy optimization. Dr. Tamizi was the recipient of the DAAD Scholarship for his M.Sc. studies and the French Government Scholarship for his Ph.D. degree.
